Good job! However, the misrule pitch gets you good attention, NOT votes! Polarizing Kenyans into pre/post independence populations, one a culprit and the other a victim might be counter-productive. Make a pitch on what can be done for a better Kenya, NOT how badly the looters damaged the public coffers. Talk about creating a viable economy and a good government to regulate it, NOT a creating a government that masquerades as the economy in the hands of a weak bureaucracy and bad managers! Amb. Bethwel Kiplagat should be the last person to head the TJRC in Kenya.
I have been working for an organisation whose members underwent the notorious torture chambers in Nyayo house, the Release Political Prisoners, a household name in the work of human rights, good governance and democracy organisations in Kenya and we strongly hold that justice and healing cannot be realised if the same perpetrators or those who sat and watched as Kenyans were being tormented are the same ones to sit on a critical commission like TJRC. Never.........this cant be justice unless we have redefined the meaning of this term and value!
Amb. Kip was an an Ambassador and a PS in the Kanu regime; the dark Moi's era. He was an Amb. in the UK in 1982 when many of the violations where witnessed. He could not do anything. How and what can he do now?
Kenyans rise up we say NO to IMPUNITY being practiced and enhanced through the TJRC!
THE TJRC is supposed to be a true transitional and historical in nature; ours is not and shall never be!
This is wonderful and it is what we have been praying, yes the youth are the power towards the growth of this nation so they should not be misused by the politicians and the aged.Give youth a chance-empower them in all ways and they will be able to reform this country. email;josmuchai@yahoo.com On USAID Announces Kshs 3.3 Billion For Kenya Youth
Mars Group TV,
I must commend you for what is evolving as a sane alternative media. Your interviews, which should really be called "Face-to-Face" (with Kenya?)are informative and incisive. Keep it up! While I know your primary work is not journalism, I would recommend that the interviewer should attempt to allow the interview uninterrupted speech without the background, "eehhh, aaahhh's". Otherwise, the work is commendable!!! On Part 3 - Inside the Mind of a political Scientist
